PayU payment system integration
Online payments, including multiple currencies, added to a live web shop without rebuilding the system.
Client anonymised
Context
The company sells online to customers in Poland and abroad. The shop took orders but had no way to pay online.
Problem
Without online payment, some shoppers dropped out before buying, and staff spent time checking bank transfers and matching them to orders. International customers paid in several currencies, which made reconciliation harder still.
Solution
We built a payment module on top of PayU and wired it into the client’s existing application. It handles multiple currencies, and payment status updates the order automatically. We chose PayU because it meets the needs of both the domestic and international customers of the shop.
Outcome
Customers pay at the moment they order, so fewer baskets are abandoned and the team no longer matches transfers by hand. The customer base grows, and sales results with it.
