Japanese on iOSTen apps for learning Japanese, a shared engine and AI.
Each app teaches one thing, such as particles or keigo. In the Kaname app the learner writes their own sentence and AI checks it and explains the mistakes. All in the App Store.

A family of apps instead of one that does everything
Instead of one huge app we built ten small ones, each on a single topic. They share components and a backend, so a fix in one place can reach the whole family. The apps work offline, and the server is needed only where a language model is really required.

AI that protects privacy
Our own AI backend
The app does not talk to the model directly. Requests go through our server, and one tap by the learner is one request.
Abuse protection
The server accepts only requests from genuine copies of the app, confirmed by Apple App Attest.
No content stored
The server does not store learners’ sentences or the model’s answers. We count only usage and limits.
How it is built
The apps work offline. The server handles only what needs a language model.
What this says about us
- We ship AI in a product, not in a slide deck.
AI runs for real users, with cost and abuse control. We can add it the same way to your product.
- We design privacy from the start.
Minimal data, consent for statistics, a clear privacy policy.
- We maintain many apps at once.
Shared code and release scripts let a small team develop ten apps.
- We get through the App Store.
Reviews, purchases, subscriptions and releases are routine for us.
