Problem

The client has a system that supports traveling around the world and tourism. In the application, it is possible to book accommodation added by business users. The client wants to have offers that go beyond this range. In addition, the existing system is missing the option to book transport services.

Challenge

The client needed a solution that would extend the capabilities of the existing system. We had to choose the right provider for accommodation, air, and transport services. Then, it was necessary to implement integration with it in a way that a possible change of provider was as simple as possible.

Solution

In order to solve the problem, we considered many providers, but Amadeus turned out to be the best. The integration was done using the REST API. Thanks to the applied solution, new functionalities were created in the system:

• Advanced flight search
• Flights tickets reservation
• Advanced hotel search engine
• Reservation of accommodation

Result

The integration with the Amadeus system helped the client with reaching a larger group of users, which resulted in its raised revenues.
